Make your own selections, allow me to choose for you, or feel welcome to contact me if you would like some guidance.

One of my favourite things is being able to customise memorials and stones to my clients wishes.  It's the personal little touches that make these keepsakes truly meaningful and special. It also makes my service to you unique, as (to my knowledge) I am the only provider in Aotearoa who offers this level of personalisation, range and service.

I have a lot of choices so I can offer a truly customised product, that is tailored just for you.  If you don’t see what you are after, please feel welcome to contact me, as I haven’t listed all my available options.

Alternatively, if you are grieving and find the amount of choices overwhelming, I would be pleased to give you my best recommendations or even make choices for you.  Helping you through a tough time is all part of my service to you.

Colours

Choose your preferred colour(s) or let me do it for you.

I'm not afraid to offer colour in my stone creations. My huge range of bright shades, beautiful metallics and glimmers, is one of my signature features that you won’t find elsewhere.

Incorporating colours can make your memorials all the more meaningful.  For your loved-ones, a favourite shirt or flower colour; or for pets, a red collar, or a prized green toy.   Special and personalised touches that remind you of your lost loves.

For grieving children who have lost a pet or loved-one, I also have a novelty Glow-in-the-Dark option which can soothe and provide comfort at night. Eg, glow-in-the-dark ‘Paw Pebbles’ which can be held in little hands under the bed sheets, or set on bedside tables .

Most glow paints on the market are very dim and only last an hour, but the paint I specially import is brighter and lasts all night. Please note the Glow-in-the-dark colour is for indoor-use only and not suitable for outdoor memorials.

 Colour Considerations

When ordering a custom memorial or stone, you can have as many colours as you like, keeping in mind that less is often best.  I can offer guidance and will confirm your choices with you prior to production.

When thinking about colours, please also consider text legibility.  Colours are best reserved for simple images or large fonts.  High contrast colours are best for detailed images or small text.

Colour Longevity

I work with the same paints used by headstone manufacturers and professional outdoor mural artists.  These paints are exterior rated and designed for outdoor environments.  But as with all paints, even weatherproof, continual exposure to harsh weather and sunlight over many years (decades), will slowly degrade/fade the paint, affecting it’s hue and lustre.  If possible, I recommend a sheltered outdoor position to help protect and extend the paint shelf life.  If ever needed, a quick touch up is easy to do.

Some specialty colours (eg, glimmers) are not exterior rated and indoors-only.  I apply a clear UV sealant to all these paints making them technically suitable for outdoor placement, but if exposed to the weather, their longevity will be reduced when compared to exterior rated paints.

If you have any questions, I am here to help in any way I can.

Please note:  the following colours represent the engraving colours, not the colour of the stone (which cannot be coloured).  The stone will be the natural, raw grey.

Fonts

What font would you like for the Name of your memorial?  Choose your favourite or let me do it for you.

Font choices can alter the tone of your memorial - from traditional or elegant, to fun or quirky.

Open the images below to view a selection of fonts suitable for stone engraving.

Bigger and bolder fonts are more legible and look better on stone.

If you had a specific font or style in mind, please let me know as I have hundreds of alternatives to choose from.

Fonts are best used in combination;  ie, a fancier font for the hero text (name) and a plainer regular font for inscriptions, or vice versa.  During the design stage, I may offer you some font variations to choose from.

For legibility, high contrast (very dark or very light) colours are recommended for smaller inscription text.  All other colours including metallics and glimmers can be used for the larger ‘name’ or hero text.

I confirm all choices with you prior to production.

Meaningful & personalised imagery

It is important to me to create memorials that meaningfully represent your pet or loved one.

Tailored just for you, I do this by offering a selection of images based on information you can provide such as personality, quirks, favourite things or breed etc.   If you feel comfortable doing so, sharing a few photos with me can be a big help so I can narrow down some choices to offer you.

This is part of the service for all custom stones.  Even for my Mini Pet Memorials which are based on a fixed set of designs, I will offer a choice of images once the breed of your pet has been identified.

The images below show two examples of what I have offered previous clients.  Every memorial is unique, so the images I offer will change and be tailored for every client.

Simple or detailed?

My creations are made special by my ability to sandblast-engrave more intricate images and designs than are available elsewhere.  I also feature metallics, multiple colour choices and have developed a technique to use the full face and curvature of the stone.  This expertise is what I am known for and is my SIGNATURE RANGE.

My CLASSIC RANGE designs are more budget friendly due to simple or silhouette imagery that involve less production time.

You can see a few examples of simple vs detailed imagery below.
